Presidents Message
2024 in review: A message from the President
Dear Members of Illinois Polygraph Society,
As my first year as IPS president I'd like to thank previous president Dr. Thomas Trice for redefining IPS goals and propelling IPS forward.
2024 was filled with with many achievements: IPS was able to host three different trainings, gain a significant amount of IPS members, welcome newly licensed examiners, create new friendships and begin the journey to modify polygraph guidelines with the State of Illinois.
I appreciate everyone's interest and help with ideas and responses for modifications to polygraph guidelines with the State of Illinois. Just know that getting guidelines changed is not a sprint it is a marathon. It takes patience and togetherness for this to be accomplished.
My goal during 2024 as president was to focus on training and we exceeded expectations by hosting three APA approved trainings by four different instructors.
Our IPS website was a huge tool in keeping members up to date with events and happenings in Illinois polygraph. It is a new site and I'm happy that many members found it helpful.
During 2025, IPS will keep every one updated with the events concerning developments with the state of Illinois, meetings, trainings and our meet and greets. IPS welcomes new members, new examiners and lots of energy.
My goal for 2025 is to keep the momentum that we had in 2024. Staying focused, host trainings, continuing to create new friendships with licensed examiners, welcoming new members and celebrating newly licensed Illinois examiners is what IPS is all about.
I believe that IPS is making a huge mark on Illinois polygraph and it couldn't have been done without the support of ALL of you members.
Best Wishes,
Marshon Conrad
President of the
Illinois Polygraph Society
